RV Rentals for Burning Man Event
At the end of August every year, something amazing happens on an otherwise deserted dried lake bed in Nevada.
The event is called Burning Man. Having exploded in popularity in recent years, you are likely to see social media posts from your friends about the event. And if you’re going to the event I hope for your sake you’re doing research on how to prepare for your own journey into the desert.
Tens of thousands of people come together on the burning hot playa to create a temporary city that only lasts one week — a community based on music, art, self-reliance, and inclusion.
Renting an RV for Burning Man has become an increasingly popular option for Burners (Burning Man Festival Participants). Self-reliance, freedom, and inclusion are one thing, but when it’s a hundred degrees outside, it sure is sweet to have air conditioning!
Many owners and RV rental companies won’t allow their RVs to go to burning man, but here at AdventureKT, we are are burners too.

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH YOUR RV RENTAL:
ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS LISTED BELOW SUPERCEDE ANY OTHER TERMS LISTED IN A TYPICAL RENTAL CONTRACT. THE TERMS BELOW APPLY TO RENTALS DURING BURNING MAN EVENT FOR 2024.
INSURANCE: Can be purchased from our third party website and will be added to the quoted rental fee and be provided on the invoice prior to any payment. Alternatively, A $3,000 security deposit is required for Class C units and $1,500 is required for trailers.
MILEAGE: 1500 miles are included with your rental. (It’s approximately 650 miles from our location to Black Rock City so that is 200 miles more than needed to make the trip. Mileage rate will be $1/mile over 1500 mileage allowance.
RENTAL DATES: RV Rentals for the Burning Man event under the flat package rates are from 8/25/2024 to 9/2/2024. If you require different dates then let us know and we’ll work with you on a case by case basis. Package rate remains the same regardless of date range RV is used.
LIQUID PROPANE (LP): All rentals come with a full tank of propane included.
GENERATOR USE: 90 hours included then $5 per hour (does not include additional fuel).
RETURN CLEANING: We know there is no preventing playa dust from getting EVERYWHERE but the RV should be returned without trash. Note: No trash or food items may be left behind in the coach. If items are left on counters, cabinets, refrigerators, sinks, floors and bedrooms for removal additional trash and cleaning will be charged at $65 per hour with a minimum $100 fee. Otherwise, cleaning, sanitation, and dumping tanks are included in the flat rate. We recommend that you dump your gray and black water tanks before returning as less weight will cost less gas on the return drive.
FRESH WATER: Upon request we will fill your fresh water tank. Fresh water increases vehicle weight and decrease MPG, so it is recommended you fill water at a station or location closer to Burning Man Event. However we are happy to provide a full fresh water tank when you pick up your recreational vehicle from us.
Delivery*: Please call to discuss delivery options. We CAN NOT deliver into the Burning Man event. Options will include Reno, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and possibly Gerlach area and based on availability of our drivers.
